The issues I experienced were caused by a corrupted Windows 10 user profile. Creating a new user solved it. In the end I noticed other programs to have issue as well, so it wasn't releated to FreeCAD software but Windows 10 instead. Download FreeCAD installer from following website. Release FreeCAD 0.18.1 FreeCAD/FreeCAD If your Windows is 64-bit version, downlosd 'FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x64-installer.exe'. If your Windows is 32-bit version, down load 'FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x32-installer.exe'. The FreeCAD community provides a wealth of additional modules and macros. They can now easily be installed directly from within FreeCAD using the Addon manager.
Download FreeCAD installer from following website.
If your Windows is 64-bit version, downlosd 'FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x64-installer.exe'. If your Windows is 32-bit version, down load 'FreeCAD-0.18.16110.f7dccfa-WIN-x32-installer.exe'.
Run the installer.
After installer window has been displayed, click to go next settings.
License agreement is displayed on installer dialog. If you can accept it, click 'Next' to accept the Licence agreement.
Set the users for whom FreeCAD is to be installed. If you have no privilege to install for all users, select 'Just me'. Normally there is no need to change the settings. Bluestacks for windows 8 pro. Click to go to next settings.
Set a install path. Normally there is no need to change the settings. Click to go to next settings.
Adobe acrobat para ipad 2. Set components to be installed. Normally there is no need to change the settings. Click to go to next settings.
Set start menu configurations. Normally there is no need to change the settings. Click to start install.
Installing process takes several tens of seconds to several minutes. The installation time depends on machine performance.
After the installation has been completed and the dialog displayed 'Completed setup wizard', ckick to finish all installation process.
FreeCAD can be started from start menu like other applications.
FreeCAD can be started by clicking 'binFreeCAD.exe' in the path that you set as install path. For example, if you set install path to 'C:Program FilesFreeCAD 0.18', you can start FreeCAD from 'C:Program FilesFreeCAD 0.18binFreeCAD.exe'.

Chocolately appears to be using exactly the same builds that are on the FreeCAD github releases page. Some people find Chocolately useful for various reasons, but it is plain dirt simple to download from the Releases page, extract with 7-zip, and run. No extra anything needed.

Looking at Chocolately this seems to be a much more recent version if you use the --pre flag

The last one here appears to be September 13, 2020, with a load of others all listed as within 2020 instead of 2019
but these are dev versions.
